I intend to add more and more content to demonstrate my data and cloud and cloud skills, but at the moment I just don’t have a large amount of recent public facing examples.
This is an example from my Tableau Public portfolio. This was an assignment from University of Washington Professional Education. data visualization certificate program:
Created in Tableau desktop Student version. Data source is Excel file in Dropbox. I can’t recall and I don’t have access to the source file, but I believe this would have been a straight embed. Data is highly transformed for analytics and is a simple flatfile.
[FYI I grabbed the Tableau Public Embed Code from my Tableau Public portfolio and dropped it into a WordPress Custom HTML widget. Nothing here is private, so this particular workflow is straightforward]My focus has been Microsoft and Microsoft data solutions because I have more access to them, thus even though I like Tableau I currently don’t have access to more advanced environments.
I think of Tableau as being the Adobe of data viz – which to me is a good thing, Basically, it appears to have more design oriented features and functions that I associate with the Adobe products (this is probably bias and perception).
