Tableau Cluster chart. Why K Mean? Because this is an unsupervised learning algorithm Tableau uses. In complex circumstance you will want to know more about these thing.
But for right now this is just a simple demonstration of building a cluster chart in Tableau Desktop Public Edition.
This chart uses the customers age and Spending Score (calculation included in dataset) sum measurements, and the Customer ID dimension for the marks. Tableau’s Cluster analysis is applied establishing the cluster count.
I will use this dataset in other platforms and explore additonal dimensions, calculations, groups, and chart types.
Note: Why 4 clusters? I applied the Elbow Method against the data, which I won't expand on. I opted against processing with Python, I opted instead of uploading the data into ChatGPT which when prompted produced an Elbow Method line chart including the dataset result, which I connected to Tableau to recreate the line chart myself.
